Barbara Ford Memorial Scholarship

The Friends of Barbara Ford, in collaboration with the Sierra County Arts Council, have established the Barbara Ford Memorial Scholarship Fund to honor the memory of Barbara Ford, who passed away on June 20, 2002. We celebrate her life by offering a $1,000 scholarship to a qualified high school senior in the Sierra-Plumas Joint Unified District.

Barbara was well known for her one-woman comedic performances, play and short story writing, and her poetry. Because of her concern and passion for the well being of children and adolescents, she would be honored to know that this fund benefits a student in his or her academic pursuit of the literary or dramatic arts.
