Public Places
The Sierra County Arts Council has had a longstanding program of exhibiting local artists' works in public buildings throughout Sierra County. The art was curated and rotated three to four times per year, with individual works available for purchase. New artists were invited and encouraged to participate.
The Sierra Valley in Winter
The Arts Council intends to reinstate this program as soon as funding permits.
In the past, the Arts Council has displayed at the following locations in Sierra County:
- Sierra County Courthouse, Downieville
- Downieville Medical and Dental Clinics
- Yuba Theatre, Downieville
- Sierra City Library
- Loyalton Health Department
- Loyalton Mental Health
- Loyalton Social Services
- Loyalton Social Hall
- Sierra Valley District Hospital
